Reminder: Developing the training skills of your supervisors webinar
On-the-job training: developing the training skills of your supervisors and team leaders
As pressure on budgets increases, the option of bringing in an external training provider may be a luxury that many organisations no-longer have. You may need to do more of your training in-house and this means you need people who know how to train. Equally, many organisations find that on the job training is a critical part of their training programme and the best people to deliver this training are the organisation’s supervisors or team leaders.
In this webinar we will look at:
- The essential training skills that your supervisors, team leaders or in-house trainers need to have.
- The challenges that they will need to overcome when delivering on-the-job training in-house, and how you can address this.
- Best practise that you can apply in-house to train your supervisors, team leaders or in-house trainers.
- Developing your own in-house Train the Trainer programme and building in various delivery methods.
- The benefits that can be derived from this approach.
The topics we will cover include:
- Different training delivery methods (instruction, coaching, demonstration and presentation) and the skills required.
- What we need to address in the training cycle
- Common training tools – lesson plans, templates, CPD records
- From novice to competent, how do you support this learning process?
- Training barriers and how to overcome them
Join us on Wednesday 11th May 2016 and make sure that your Train the Trainer programme gives your supervisors and in-house trainers the best chance to effectively deliver the on the job training that your organisation needs.
"Very effective and enjoyable training course. I have learnt a lot over the course and will take away a lot of additional learning styles and skills to make my job so much easier." The course was well organised and run very well by Polaris Learning. The course covers all the main points and Polaris Learning provided good guidance and support throughout. Very enjoyable and I would recommend it to anyone thinking of doing the course."
