SQA Single and Grouped Units

If you are not ready for a full qualification but you would like to work towards individual units, we can help you.

You can choose from a selection of units that reflect different areas of your role.  The units are designed to cover different aspects of the training cycle from identifying training needs, supporting learners, delivering group training, delivering one to one training, reviewing training to assessing competence.

SQA Learning & Development Level 3

If you are involved in different aspects of the training cycle but do not have management responsibility, this is a good qualification for you to consider.

The qualification is made up of six units and you achieve these units through a mixture of knowledge assignments and on the job assessments.

You will build your knowledge of different aspects of the training cycle as well as receiving a qualification that recognises your work place skills.

SQA Learning & Development Level 4

If you are responsible for all aspects of the training cycle, this is a good qualification for you to consider. 

You can choose from a variety of units that enable you to build your knowledge and demonstrate your skills.

You can complete the qualification without attending workshops or you can choose to attend workshops to help you with the qualification.

Institute of Leadership and Management: Workplace Trainer programme

This award covers the planning of training, design and delivery of training, group training, coaching and mentoring, and evaluation.

This is a 30 hour programme and includes workshops and work place assignments.

This is a good qualification to help you build up your knowledge of different aspects of the learning and development cycle.  And the work place assignments give you the opportunity to apply what you have learnt back in the work place.
